We first came across this De Hoop gem while planning a bush-meets-beach honeymoon. Our clients wanted somewhere remote but refined, private but personal. Morukuru Beach Lodge delivered in every way — and then some.
Set in the heart of De Hoop Nature Reserve, it’s one of the most spectacular coastal conservation areas in South Africa. And the lodge? A serene, 5-suite sanctuary perched in the dunes, with endless views and thoughtful, quiet luxury in every corner.
The Setting
Raw Coastline. Soft Sand. Just You and the Ocean.
The lodge sits where the fynbos meets the sea. There’s no traffic, no shops, no reception desk. Just endless views of beach, cliffs and surf, whales breaching in the distance, and the sound of the wind moving through the dunes.
You’re deep in a UNESCO World Heritage Site — where your neighbours include bontebok, baboons, birds of prey, and sometimes even porcupines that wander the boardwalk after dark.

The Suites
